It All Started With A Rejection

Luke Rivers and I had been mated for five long years. In the eyes of the pack, we were the perfect Alpha couple—respected, admired, and an example for all wolves. Our pack-mates looked up to us, and our families were proud. No one knew the secret that haunted me every night: Luke had never shared my bed as a true mate would.

His heart had always belonged to Ayla Stone, his first love, the she-wolf who rejected him when he was weak. I was nothing more than a placeholder, a convenient Luna chosen to fulfill pack expectations. Marrying me was his way of keeping the peace, to show the world he had moved on—but I knew better. I had been the one by his side when he rose to power, yet I was never the one in his heart.

After years of silent suffering, I’ve been given a second chance at life. This time, I refuse to let anyone use me. I won't let Luke—or anyone else—take away my worth ever again. The pack may think they know us, but they have no idea what’s coming.
