My Alpha Gave My Donor Heart to His Maid on Christmas Eve

It's Christmas Eve. My Alpha's maid calls to thank me—for giving her dying mother the donor heart that was keeping me alive.I never gave it to her. He did. Behind my back. Even though I'm only dying because I took the blow meant for him. Even though he knew that heart came from my own mother. Then he walks in, slaps me across the face, and snarls why don't you just die before running back to her.So I reject him. I report him to the Council of Elders. They strip his Alpha rank and throw him in the dungeon. When he finally crawls back begging—I'm already a stranger.
