Terrorized by a Mutated Chimpanzee

A gorilla used for experiments had been shipped back from my best friend's research institute and I realized I could hear his mind.

“Her skin is so smooth. Want it!!”

“Can’t wait to skin her tonight!”

I froze momentarily, then laughed nervously.

The institute was walled in, there was no way it could get out.

What’s more, my house was hundreds of kilometers away. It would take hours to drive there.

Even if it did escape, it couldn’t possibly find me.

But I hadn’t expected that night, my best friend would call me in a panic.
