The Alpha's Unwanted Substitute Luna

After a tragic accident that killed my sister and nearly took mine, I married her husband, Lucian Ducani, and raised their son, Lorde, as my own. For six long years, I held that family together with bare hands and quiet hope. On Lorde’s seventh birthday, I did everything to make him feel loved. But when it came time to make a wish, he looked me dead in the eye and said,

“On my seventh birthday, I wish…” He paused. The silence stretched too long. Then he pointed at me. “…for this woman to die. Just like she killed my mother. Her death would be the best gift I could ever receive.”
