Trashed: The Day I Ended My Eight-Year Marriage

After eight years of marriage, I was finally pregnant.

I had just decided to tell my husband, Lowell Henderson, the good news when his secretary, Kaitlynn Warren, "accidentally" bumped into me, causing me to fall down the stairs and miscarry.

Kaitlynn was so terrified that her face went pale. She rushed into Lowell's arms, crying, "Did I mess up again? I'm sorry, you can yell at me..."

Lowell's heart broke as he saw her tears. "Silly girl, it's fine. You didn't do it on purpose."

He gave me a sharp glance. "Come on, it was just a fall. Get up. Don't lie there making a scene!"
