Chapter 5

I wasn't worried about that, because the real show was still to come. Burning the car was just a small lesson for her.

After the ceremony ended, Zach's parents were making small talk with guests, and Dad was pulled into socializing too.

Mom came over and handed me a glass of wine.

"Hazel, congratulations on your wedding."

The floating text immediately flooded the screen.

[Hurry up and drink, supporting character! Drink it! The good show is about to start!]

[Finally waited for this moment! After drinking this wine, the supporting character will pass out and the male and female leads can have sex!]

[Drink it, drink it! I've already pulled up a chair to watch the famous scene!]

I calmly took the glass and drank it down in one gulp.

Mom's eyes lit up the moment she saw me finish the wine.

She quickly stepped forward and held my arm.

"Hazel, you've had a long day. Go back to your room early and rest."

As she spoke, she pulled me upstairs. When passing by Zach, she even gave him a subtle look.

Zach understood immediately and returned the look.

I obediently let Mom pull me upstairs, closing my eyes and pretending to feel dizzy.

After reaching the room, Mom helped me onto the bed.

"Rest well. Zach will be up soon."

After saying this, she tiptoed out of the room.

The moment the door closed, my tightly shut eyes flew open.

I had prepared in advance.

Before coming to the hotel, I deliberately went to a pharmacy to buy an antidote and took it beforehand.

The little bit of sedative in her wine had absolutely no effect on me.

I quickly climbed out of bed and pulled a tiny pinhole camera from my small purse.

I had just asked someone to buy this camera for me.

I installed the camera in the light directly above the bed, adjusted the angle, then returned to lie down on the bed.

The floating text didn't notice any of my actions.

I'd observed the pattern of the floating text today. It only appeared when someone was around me. When I was alone, it wouldn't appear.

I'd barely been lying down for a few minutes when the room door was pushed open.

I could hear two sets of footsteps walking toward the bed.

Without even thinking, I knew it was Zach and Serena.

"The burns on my body hurt so much. Be gentle when you touch me."

It was Serena's voice.

Zach's voice carried a hint of sleazy laughter.

"Okay, I'll be gentle. Tonight, let her be the clueless wife as punishment for suddenly burning the car and tormenting you."

Then I felt the other side of the bed sink down. The two of them were already embracing, kissing and biting each other, making suggestive moaning sounds.

Their movements were rough, completely disregarding that there was still a sleeping me on the bed.

I suppressed the urge to vomit, turned my back to them, and quietly pulled out my phone. I opened the monitoring software and found the connection to the banquet hall's large screen.

With a light tap of my finger, the image on the screen instantly switched, broadcasting the live feed from the room directly to the large screen in the banquet hall downstairs.
