I Made Her a Superstar, Now She Begs in the Rain

Chapter 2

I pushed open the heavy oak doors of the mansion, each step echoing against old memories.

Those sweet moments we once shared felt like shattered glass, slicing through my chest with every breath.

This villa was supposed to be my gift to her—our dream home. Every single corner was filled with plans for our future.

Yet reality shattered that fairy tale in the cruelest way possible.

Or rather, it was always just my own wishful thinking.

Stepping into the foyer, my eyes caught the over-the-top, pastel-toned princess decor. Gilded moldings, baby-pink accents, and a massive crystal chandelier glaring coldly in the midday light.

Every inch had been custom-tailored to her taste. She used to twirl around this living room, acting like a royal waiting for her prince.

Back then, I let myself be pulled into her fantasy, convinced that this was what true happiness looked like.

Now, it just looked cheap, fake, and pathetic.

I pulled out my phone and called a demolition crew. I wanted the place stripped clean, every trace of her wiped away.

I was going to turn it into an entirely blank slate, devoid of her presence, and put it straight on the market.

Letting the house go was the only way to let this humiliating chapter die.

The crew arrived shortly after, marking the beginning of a cold, necessary reset.

As I stood by the grand window watching the workers tear down the drapes, the front door swung open.

Sienna walked in.

Trailing right behind her was Logan.

Logan carried himself with that timid, fragile posture he always put on, cowering slightly as if I were some ruthless villain ready to tear him apart.

"Caleb! What the hell are you doing?!"

Sienna blew up the second she stepped inside.

"Look at what you’ve done to our house!"

I glanced at the two of them with utter indifference.

"Good, you're here. Pack your things and get out. Whatever you leave behind goes straight into the dumpster. Leave your keys on the counter."

Sienna scanned the half-gutted room, her voice trembling with fury:

"Are you seriously being this petty over a post—"

Logan cut in, offering a sickeningly humble smile.

"Caleb, man, what's going on? Are you upset about the Instagram picture? Sienna was just playing around. Don't take it out on her."

I let out a dry laugh. They really still thought I was an idiot.

"Playing around? Sienna told me you two are together."

Logan immediately shrank back, eyes wide with performative panic.

"No, Caleb, that's... Sienna and I... Look, I know I'm not in her league. I’ll give her back to you, okay? Don't be mad."

He said he would give Sienna back to me.

As if she were a piece of borrowed property, and he was the benevolent god deciding who got to keep her.

Looking at them, every trace of emotion drained out of me.

The love I had carried had withered under the rot of betrayal. Nothing was left but stone-cold resolve.

I shook my head, my voice quiet and steady.

"Keep her. We're done."

Every word cut clean and final.
