My Husband's Wedding With His Mistress
Chapter 1
In the third year of our long-distance relationship, I secretly transferred to a hospital in Silva's city without telling him.
But on my first day at work, he became the first patient's family member I received.
"Doctor, my wife has been having severe morning sickness lately. Can you take a look at what's wrong?"
Silva's hand rested on the slightly protruding belly of the pregnant woman beside him, his eyes full of heartache.
Noticing my hesitation, he looked up at me with some confusion.
I lowered my head and pulled my mask up as high as it would go, biting my lip hard as I suppressed my voice to ask.
"How far along is the fetus?"
"Three months."
Three months. But just one month ago, Silva had been beaming with joy as we registered our marriage at city hall.
I let out a cold laugh and turned away from him to make a phone call.
"Dad, take the marriage certificate I left in the safe and have it checked for authenticity."
"If it's fake, freeze Silva's bank cards, fire him from his job, and take back the penthouse we gave him."
"And if that marriage certificate is real, do the same thing anyway!"
