Chapter 5

Alpha Evan quickly walked to the bed and ripped back the covers.

Kyle lay naked on the bed, a crimson mess beneath him, staining the bedsheets.

Alpha Evan was furious. He kicked Lydia in the chest.

"Damn you! You wretched slut! What did you do to Kyle?!"

Lydia spat out a mouthful of blood. Brenda and Richard's faces turned ashen, their legs suddenly weak, threatening to give out.

"It was Anne who did it! She seduced Kyle into this room and drugged him with an aphrodisiac! I was just passing by, discovered her crime, and wanted to help Kyle!"

Alpha Evan's gaze swept the room, missing my hidden form, but an Alpha's nose never lies. He knew I was here.

He immediately ordered the Beta warrior standing behind him:

"Open that utility closet!"

A Beta warrior immediately pried open the lock of the utility closet and removed my silver handcuffs.

I didn't immediately explain. Instead, I took out an antidote from my pocket, intending for Kyle to take it.

Lydia, however, slapped me hard.

"You wretch! What are you giving Kyle? Are you going to keep poisoning him?!"

Brenda cried and threw herself in front of Alpha Evan.

"Alpha Evan, you see? It was all Anne's dirty work! Lydia was framed by her! We saw through her plan long ago, which is why we rushed here to expose her!"

I let out a cold laugh.

"Kyle ingested a potent aphrodisiac, and his wolf is suffering immensely right now. This antidote will completely alleviate the symptoms of his heat."

Brenda sharply challenged me.

"Anne, you're not a doctor! How could you know how to cure him? You're lying!"

I faced Alpha Evan's fury directly.

"I grew up in the wilderness, learning to forage for medicinal plants to survive. I once had a fortunate encounter with Dr. Frank, a renowned healer, who taught me how to make medicine and save lives."

Everyone was shocked, but soon their faces twisted into sneers of open contempt.

Because Dr. Frank was the most famous healer in the Fullmoon Pack; even Alpha Evan respected him greatly.

Lydia immediately scoffed at me.

"Anne, you're finished! Dr. Frank is also attending the party tonight. Your lies are about to be unmasked!"

Alpha Evan glanced at me, then immediately told a Beta warrior:

"Summon Dr. Frank to this room at once."

I finally sighed in relief.

When Dr. Frank arrived, he immediately vouched for me.

"I did indeed teach Anne medical skills. The medicine she has is perfectly fine and can indeed treat Kyle."

Then, Dr. Frank didn't forget to praise me.

"Anne, your medical skills have improved even further!"

Lydia and Brenda completely panicked.

Dr. Frank continued:

"It's a good thing Anne had this antidote prepared. This aphrodisiac is extremely potent. Kyle was already injured by wolfsbane poison before and hadn't fully recovered. This aphrodisiac almost killed Kyle's wolf."

Alpha Evan's face was dark, his gaze sharp, filled with barely contained fury.

"Damn it! Who drugged Kyle?!"

Lydia pointed at me.

"It was Anne! Otherwise, why would she have an antidote in her hand?"

Brenda immediately agreed.

"Exactly! She's just guilt-ridden, Alpha Evan! Desperate to cover her tracks by offering some fake remedy! And I personally saw Anne lure Kyle into the room; the waitress can testify!"

Alpha Evan looked at me, his eyes filled with murderous intent.

"Bring that waitress here!"

Sure enough, when Stacy walked in with her head down, she adamantly claimed I was the one who lured Kyle into this room.

Since Lydia had been reborn, she had clearly planned this whole thing out, every detail meticulously set up, intending for me to die at the party.

Alpha Evan was furious. He ordered his Beta warriors to take me to the dungeons.

"She dared to attempt to murder the Pack's only heir! No trial is necessary! I'll execute her personally!"

But I wasn't panicked at all.

I scanned each of my foster family's faces: mockery, schadenfreude, and a flicker of relief.

There wasn't a flicker of compassion for me in any of their eyes.

"That Omega deserves to be punished! Let her learn that a worthless Omega like her can never be worthy of Kyle!"

Just then, Kyle's voice came from the bed:

"It wasn't Anne... My wolf, though clouded by the potion, was still aware enough to witness what truly happened. It has already shown me the truth.
