Chapter 4

After a few minutes, the doctor handed the phone to William‌‌.

I heard breathing and the sound of instruments ticking.

'Are you Jolene?'

'Hm.'

I said, 'Do you want to find Gillian? I can help you contact...'

'No, I'm looking for you.'

Looking for me?

William and I knew each other. He wanted to find me after I've been in a coma for years.

William coughed and said, 'It's about your husband Andrew. I need to tell you in person. See you tomorrow.'

The phone was hung up.

I was sent a time and place.

'Don't tell them I'm still alive, especially Andrew.'

I closed the dialogue box.

The home surveillance alarmed.

Gillian was lying on the bed in my clothes.

She was still wearing my lace underwear. Andrew came out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel. He took a suit out of the wardrobe and changed in front of the man. Just as they were about to embrace, Gillian looked at the surveillance.

She asked Andrew, 'Would it be bad if Jolene saw this?'

Andrew said, 'I'm just showing you the suit I'm going to wear tomorrow. Nothing else has happened.’

I felt sick when I heard those words.

He even sent it to me after taking a selfie in the suit.

'Does it look good?' I'll wear this for my wedding tomorrow. Don't be late. You're my bridesmaid.

There was a hickey on his neck.

'Do you see it?' 'Don't be late.'

I looked at the picture and said, 'I'll be on time.'

On the wedding day, Andrew posted lots of lively photos, more than when we got married.

Inside the hotel, friends smiled when they saw me in my bridesmaid dress.

'Her own husband had a wedding with someone else, and she came as a bridesmaid!'

They don't like me.

Jolene, your husband looks great today. He's a real match for Gillian. You should have done this sooner.'

I took the microphone and walked onto the stage.

I looked at Andrew and Gillian, who were looking at each other fondly.

'I'm happy to be at my husband's wedding. It's a rare experience, and I've picked the best man for this wedding!'

Here is Gillian's fiancé, William ‌‌Johnson‌‌.
