After My Husband Faked Amnesia to Cheat with His Mistress, I Remarried a Mysterious Heir
Chapter 2
Logan looked at me with disdain.
"Chloe allows you to see me every day, you should be overjoyed, right? Why don't you kowtow and thank Chloe for her generosity?"
The surrounding small business owners immediately began to flatter Logan.
"Mr. Bennett and his wife have taken pity on you and kept you by their side. Quickly kneel down and thank them!"
"Instead of selling yourself to some old geezer outside, you might as well accompany our richest man. At least you'll have the status of a personal assistant."
“Mr. Bennett, you should send him for a check-up first, lest he’s too rotten and has caught some kind of dirty disease.”
I stared coldly at Logan.
He and I were married into a prominent family through an arranged marriage. Although we couldn't say we had a deep bond, we knew each other well and grew up together as childhood sweethearts.
When I was eighteen, he knelt in front of me with a bouquet of flowers and said that I was the person he wanted to grow old with.
When I was overjoyed and looking forward to marrying him, he fell in love with my sponsored student.
He said she had suffered too much and that she was all alone and needed more care.
He even fell three meters off a platform at his wedding for Chloe's sake, fabricating some kind of past life lie.
I was so naive that I thought he had really suffered a nerve injury, so I wrote to him every day from abroad to comfort him and find him specialists for treatment.
Until Chloe sent me a recording,
"Logan, you even bumped your head because of me, and lied to your sister that you had amnesia. It really breaks my heart. I should have advised you to just marry Evelyn."
"Tch, I'd be happy to drop a bag or even die under you for you, because you're so fragrant and soft. Evelyn is a dead fish, not even good enough to make your bed."
“Look at the letter she wrote. She’s still trying to lick my boots. Since she’s so shameless, after we get married, I’ll tell her she’s regained her memory and have her be a surrogate for us so you can avoid the suffering of pregnancy.”
"Logan, you're so mean!"
"What can I do? If you get pregnant, I can't touch you for ten months, and that would kill me. Anyway, I'm just making use of her. Who told her to love me so much?"
Immediately following this, a shameful sound came from the recording.
My heart skipped a beat. I never imagined that my childhood sweetheart could be so shameless. Twenty years of friendship couldn't compare to someone else's two ounces of meat.
Logan's eyes were filled with smugness as he listened to the mockery of me and the flattery of him.
"Logan, you should find someone else to be your personal assistant. I'm already married and have twin sons."
Everyone then turned their attention to the two fair and chubby little dumplings, and were stunned for a moment.
Logan frowned impatiently.
"You really have a child? Is the father some thug or a playboy?"
"You're lying and even bringing up the child. I still have those forty-eight love letters you wrote to me from abroad. You're willing to get married and have a child with someone else? You don't actually think I'd be jealous, do you?"
I thought for a moment, then took out the Beaumont family's heirloom, an emerald thumb ring, and said in a cold voice...
“My husband is Prince Charles of France, not some scoundrel, but the younger brother of King Charles VIII.”
Anyone with a basic understanding of international affairs knows that Charles was the king's most favored younger brother, in charge of overseas trade and commerce.
We've been married for four years, and he dotes on me. For my safety, he never lets me show my face in public.
Chloe finally stood up straight and snatched the ring from my hand.
“There is indeed an iris pattern on it, and a small seal is engraved on it. Sister, you're not trying to tell us that just because of this, you are the most honored Princess Charles of France, are you? Then I'll make ten or eight of them and say that I am the most honored Queen of France.”
