Chapter 3

Chloe's words caused everyone around her to burst into laughter, which made Chloe even more smug.

"Sister, are you out of your mind to marry the richest man? You even made up a lie about marrying a prince."

"Do you know that Logan isn't even qualified to meet the Prince? When he heard that he was coming to Riverton, Logan asked the mayor to introduce him six months in advance and even specially collected treasures from various countries. I heard that he dotes on the Princess and even spent 100 million to bid for the Queen's coming-of-age necklace to give to the Princess."

"Are you spouting such nonsense and damaging the Prince's reputation because you resent Logan for not wanting you and want to ruin his plans?"

As soon as Chloe finished speaking, Logan's expression changed, and he slapped me to the ground.

"You slut, I never thought you were so vicious. You would do this to me for such a disgusting thing. Prince Charles is so noble, how could he want a piece of trash like you, a lowly slut?"

Chloe hugged Logan and said worriedly,

"Logan, your ex-fiancée is jealous of you and is impersonating a prince's wife. If the prince finds out, won't he question your poor judgment and decide whether he'll still be willing to cooperate with us?"

What a charlatan! I glared angrily at Chloe, the once timid and pitiful woman.

She was working as a waitress at a hotel when she was harassed by a drunk customer and dragged into the bathroom, almost losing her virginity.

I felt sorry for her being an orphan with no one to rely on, so I offered to sponsor her living expenses and tuition so that she could focus on her studies.

He even treated her like a younger sister, buying her clothes and taking her home to eat and live together.

Logan once said that I was too kind-hearted, and that I should be careful that poor people don't become arrogant and inferior, or that I might end up raising a snake.

But now he actually believed Chloe's nonsense and is slandering and mocking me to the extreme.

Logan kicked me in the stomach again.

"I've spoiled you too much, letting you fantasize about me for so long. Today it's time to teach you a lesson and make you give up."

As he spoke, he grabbed my hair and slapped me across the face twice.

Perhaps feeling it was beneath his dignity, he paused briefly, then turned to look at Chloe.

"Chloe, back then Evelyn used to think she had money, so she made you wash her underwear and give her foot massages every day. Today, your husband is backing you up, so you should fight back."

As she spoke, she pressed me to the ground and made Chloe slap me hard across the face.

Chloe was taken aback at first, then her face lit up with excitement.

"Sister, why do you have the right to be so arrogant and boss me around? I'm clearly smarter and prettier than you, so why do you get to enjoy a superior life while I have to be at your mercy?"

As he spoke, he slapped me across the face several times.

My face immediately felt a burning pain.

Aaron and Arthur Beaumont were stunned and stood frozen in place.

From birth until the age of three, we were always waited on by servants; we had never seen such a violent scene before.

The two little ones burst into tears and threw themselves at me, calling for their mother.

Chloe picked up Aaron, slapped the child's fair face twice with her backhand, and threw him to the floor.

Logan then grabbed Arthur and kicked him three meters away.

"Where did this bastard come from? Send him to the orphanage later."

Arthur immediately curled up on the ground in pain, crying out for his mother with tears in his eyes.

The two children crawled toward this side with all their might.

But the onlookers started jeering; one person kicked him, another slapped him, and someone even lifted Arthur up by the hair.

"Hey, he has blue eyes too. This wild man must be a Frenchman."

He then threw Arthur away with a look of disgust.

Logan frowned in disgust and kicked Arthur away.
