Husband's First Love Framed Me? I Sent Her to Jail Instead
Chapter 1
I deliberately smashed the mall's glass entrance and surrendered myself to the police.
My husband, Ryan, rushed over, furious, demanding, "It was something we could have settled with money, so why on earth did you turn yourself in?"
Because in my previous life, after his ex-girlfriend, Chloe, failed her business venture, she came crawling back to him.
Chloe drove, staged a car accident, killed someone, and framed me for it—all to seize our millions.
Later, the victim's family and reporters furiously descended on me, absolutely convinced I was the culprit.
I tried desperately to prove my innocence, but every video evidence they found showed my face.
Ryan, my husband, was the first to insist I’d done it out of spite, an act of revenge against society.
I was stabbed to death on the spot by the victim's family.
When I opened my eyes again, I was back on the very day Chloe staged the accident.
"Maya, why send yourself to jail for something we could just pay our way out of? Are you out of your mind?"
My husband, Ryan, rushed over, his voice sharp with anger as he yelled at me.
I simply raised my hands. The officer beside me already clicked the handcuffs onto my wrists.
"Ryan, when you do something wrong, you have to own it. I made a mistake, and I scared people."
"I think it's important for me to go to the station and seriously reflect on what I've done."
Ryan immediately pulled out a thick wad of cash. "We have money, plenty of it! Don't arrest my wife!"
The officer shot Ryan an annoyed look. "Sir, a mistake needs to be addressed!"
"Take her in!"
Ryan trembled with rage. No matter how much he pleaded, I insisted I needed to reflect.
Thanks to my cooperative attitude, I was sentenced to just a week at the police station for reflection.
Even though for those seven days, my freedom was restricted to the station, I felt an unprecedented sense of peace.
This time, I couldn't possibly get tangled in those same old troubles, right?
In my previous life, my husband had an ex-girlfriend, Chloe.
After she arrived in the city, it was like she'd completely stolen Ryan's heart. He barely spent a night at home.
"If you go looking for Chloe again, we're getting a divorce!"
After a massive fight, Ryan stormed out, slamming the door behind him.
He didn't come back all night. I knew he had gone to see his ex, Chloe, again.
The next day, Chloe, my husband's ex-girlfriend, caused a hit-and-run, resulting in a death. The circumstances were horrific.
She had struck and killed a pregnant woman, eight months along!
I urged Chloe to surrender quickly and offer generous compensation, to meet any demands the victim's family might have.
But Chloe just sneered, "Who said I hit her? Didn't you hit her?"
I wanted to prove my innocence, but whether it was the dashcam footage or street surveillance, it was my face. I had no defense.
Ryan even claimed I'd had a vengeful breakdown due to our rocky marriage and lashed out at society.
Reporters, swarming the scene, twisted the narrative, painting me as a ruthless killer.
I tried desperately to explain, but when the victim's family found me, they rushed forward and stabbed me.
I collapsed in a pool of blood, utterly bewildered. Why was Chloe's deed being pinned on me?
Confused but determined not to repeat my past life's tragic end, I deliberately got myself locked up at the police station.
